Crochet Fur Seal Free Amigurumi Pattern

A crochet fur seal amigurumi designed in boy and girl versions. The body and hind flippers are made as one piece, while the fore flippers are incorporated into the body. Finished size is about 25 cm (9.8 in).

Step-by-Step Instructions

    Head: work from a magic circle with increases to 54 sc, then straight rounds and decreases. Muzzle: 6 sc in magic circle, increase to 30 sc and work 2 straight rounds. Fore flippers: make 2 and work to 24 sc before decreases. Hind flippers: make 2, join them, then continue the body to 48 sc, add alternating stripes, attach fore flippers and stuff. Add skirt or bow tie, make the panama hat, then sew the head and muzzle and embroider facial details.

Helpful Tips

  • Finished size about 25 cm. Place safety eyes between rounds 13–14, 10 stitches apart. For the girl version, use BLO where specified for the skirt.
